Introductory Certificate in Rural Skills (SCQF Level 4)
Oatridge College is offering 16 to 19 year old recruits this free* training course that starts in March 2013, read on.
Mode of attendance:
2 days a week in college, Thursday & Friday.
Overview:
Have a taste of this introductory course that gives you the opportunity to explore the "ins and outs" of the landbased industries. If you are out of work and want to potentially access landbased employment such as landscaping, conservation or horticulture this course is an ideal route.
What's involved?:
Employability Skills for Landbased Industries, An Introduction to: Estate Maintenance, Landbased Industries, Crop Production and Soft Landscaping.
Duration:
4th March - 24th May 2013 (11 week)
Qualification obtained at the end of the course:
Scottish Qualifications Authority Skills for Work: Rural Skills Intermediate 1.
Career opportunities:
Work experience in the landbased industries.
Entry requirements:
Entry by interview, No formal qualifications are required.
Desire to commit to the course.
