HNC in Agriculture (SCQF Level 7)

Overview:

This one year full-time programme concentrates on the technical and practical knowledge required by unit and farm managers.  

What's involved?:

Cereal and grass production, Livestock and their welfare,
Soil Management, Machinery, Environment and
Landuse, Business Management and Accounts.

Duration:

1 academic year. Starts in September.

Career opportunities:

Enterprise managers, assistant farm manager.

Entry requirement:

Essential for progressing students - it is essential to have
passed either the Certificate in Agriculture or SVQ Level 3.

For new students - 1 Higher or relevant practical experience.

Further study:

Students successfully completing HNC would normally be
eligible to enter the 2nd year of HND.
