SVQ Level 2 in Landbased Service Engineering - Agricultural Machinery

This programme is aimed at persons new to employment in the industry.


On completion candidates would be expected to carry out work to a competent standard under minimal supervision. The Level 2 is delivered over 2 years by block release.

Units include :

D96F 04        Contribute to Health and Safety

D96G 04        Move Loads

D96H 04        Shape components using hand tools

D96J 04         Repair components by soldering and welding

D96K 04         Contribute to effective work activities

D96L 04          Maintain the work area

D96M 04         Remove and replace components from tractors and machinery (agricultural)

D96N 04         Maintain the condition of tractors and machinery (agricultural)

Entry requirements

 Sound educational ability consistent with the demands of the course

Progression

SVQ Level 3 & MA for suitable candidates

Additional information

A work record is maintained in a workplace logbook and is an integral part of the programme.

Eligible applicants may be funded.
