SVQ Level 3 & MA in Amenity Horticulture - Sportsturf Management

For those already in employment.  SVQ Level 3 allows candidates to further their education while continuing to gain experience in the workplace.


The course normally lasts two years, although Level 3 is also possible as a Fast Track programme that can be completed in a year. Level 3 is aimed at those having some practical and supervisory experience.

B5R T04             Manage Drainage & Irrigation Systems

D9C904              Manage Sportsturf Areas

AT60304            Create Grassed and Planted Areas

AT6204              Estimate Resource Reqs. & Programme Work

D9CC 04            Prepare and Apply Pesticides

Entry requirements

Candidates would normally hold either NC in Greenkeeping or SVQ Level 2 in Sportsturf but candidates with industry experience but without formal qualifications should contact the college.  Entry is at the discretion of the college.

Progression

SVQ Level 4 Amenity Horticulture Management

Additional information

Delivered by either day or block release.
Fast Track delivery may be possible for candidates with relevant experience.
Suitable candidates will also have opportunity to undertake a Lantra Modern Apprenticeship in Amenity Horticulture.
Funding may be available for eligible candidates.
