Overview:
This course is particularly suited to people with landscaping,
construction or horticultural experience who wish to develop
their practical, design, scientific and business management skills.

Plant Recognition and Use,
Soil Management,
Plant Protection: Problems & Control,
Horticulture Mechanisation Principles,
Constructing Hard Landscape Features,
Fundamentals of Landscape Surveying,
Planting Design,
Design Process & Composition in the Landscape,
Group Award Graded Unit.
Duration:
Part time students may complete the course at their own pace,
although they can achieve the HNC in as little as two years.
Starts in September.
Career opportunities:
Supervisory roles in Local Authorities, Estates, Garden Centres,
Nurseries, Landscaping Companies and Self-employment.
Entry requirements:
For progressing students - it is essential to have passed the
Certificate in Landscape Construction & Design.
For new students - At least 1 Higher at Grade C or above in English,
Maths, Biology or another subject.
You should be able to demonstrate that you are enthusiastic,
hard working, and are prepared to get involved in all aspects of
the course - both practical and classroom based.
Exceptional entry may be possible at the discretion of the College.
Further study:
Year 2 of HND Landscape,
Year 2 of BSc in Landscape Management.
