This course is intended for anyone who is required to operate chainsaws, for cross-cutting techniques up to tree diameter of 200mm.

What to bring

Candidates are expected to bring all their own protective clothing

  • Boots - Chainsaw approved safety boots
  • Leggings - all round protection (Type C)
  • Helmet
  • Gloves - Chainsaw approved gloves
  • 15 Metre Logging Tape

You will also require a passport sized photograph for certification purposes. Most of the course takes place away from college so please bring packed lunches with you.
