LANTRA Brushcutters & Trimmers (2-day)
Introduction
This 2-day course for novice operators can either be Lantra Certificated (Integrated training & assessment) or NPTC Certificated (separate assessment day required). It will help you to learn all you need to know about brushcutters and trimmers, from safe operation to machine preparation and maintenance.
Content
- Maintenance and operation (engine, drive system gear head)
- Selecting, maintaining and fitting the appropriate cutting head
- Correct personal protective clothing
- Adjusting the machine and harness
- Inspecting the site and identifying hazards
- Environmental considerations
- Fuelling and starting the machine
- Cutting test area
- Aftercare and safe transportation.

What to Bring
Please arrange to bring your own Protective clothing including Hard Hat/face/ear (114 db) protection, boilersuit, Gloves, Safety Boots .Please also bring a passport sized photograph for certification purposes.
